Ashram's Graduation from Kindergarten

What a special day. I will have to admit, at first I thought that it was a bit ridiculous the amount of hype that they put into a kindergarten graduation. In my head, I was like this is no big deal. But I was mistaken. It was a big deal for Ashram. For the last two weeks, Ashram has been talking about his graduation, what he is going to wear, and the songs they have prepared for us. And it is a big deal. Kindergarten marks the beginning of what we hope as parents to be a fruitful educational career where he finds his path in life. We want nothing more for our kids to be happy and we loved the ceremony today where we saw Ashram in his element. Right from when he woke up all the way to bed tonight. Enjoy the journey of Ashram's graduation which truly marks the beginning of so many things. He is so very loved by everyone around him:-)
We couldn't resist

A friend of ours made this blanket for him.

They had this board outside so after the ceremony students and families could take pictures. There are only 20 students in his class and it was complete mayhem to try to get a picture there. Sorry no picture with me and John. Ashram wanted to get home to his legos anyway and we were happy to oblige.

And now the moment we have all been waiting for!

Precious.
Proud Parents!
He is so happy!

They are BIG on photo opps which I appreciated. After everyone got there diplomas, they had rehearsed an encore so we parents could take a picture. I wish I took a picture of the parents rushing to the front of the room.
Along with the presentation of diplomas, they had a screen that displayed pictures of each individual child and then the entire class. They have got it down to a system at Indus.

And of course there was a finale, where the kids danced.

Lookout here comes our next dancer in the family:-)

Ashram was really excited about the day and to come home and make his legos. Good thing we signed him up for lego camp this summer:-)

Below was my absolute favorite part of graduation and the unique little touch his teachers had. They created a story book of all the kids in the class and gave it to each student to remember forever. We will definitely treasure this book for years to come.
