June's 5 Day Tour of Bangalore

First, it was so nice that June came to visit us in Bangalore. Thank you June for making the trip and just going with the flow. I really think that my 5th job here in India is being a travel planner. I want all of us to explore as much of India and Bangalore as we can. Who knows when an opportunity like this will happen again. So we used June as an excuse to explore and see more of Bangalore. Here was our itinerary:

Day 1: Tiger Safari. She arrived at 10am in the morning and we got a car at 11am and spend the day at the Safari.

Day 2: Attended class with me at Azim Premji University, took a local bus, went shopping  around our area (loved Bata the shoe store), went to a yoga class (not so good), had ice cream, then headed home in an auto rickshaw.

Day 3: Took a cooking class and spend the day with a chef connoisseur then we went to a neighbours rooftop party that was only for ladies.

Day 4: Toured the city with John and saw temples and tried all the local foods and of course did some shopping. Then toured the kid's school and then watched Made in Heaven on Amazon Prime (she got addicted to the show)

Day 5: Took the bus into the city, went shopping, did a city tour and a street food tour. We were beat by the end so came home but we were supposed to go to a rooftop terrace to experience the nightlife---just could not fit it in and we were so tired from 2 walking tours.

Day 6: June left for the airport in the afternoon but in the morning some more shopping.

Reflections: It was truly incredible to show June around and we loved being with her. It was so nice to be with a sister friend. While we have friends here, it is not the same as someone you have built a relationship with over several years. We love you June! Thank you for visiting us.
