Breakthrough at Indus!!!












Wow! I can not believe after 4 months, I am still surprised and energised. I thought I would just be coasting by now. Today, I observed an 8th grade class at Indus and my mentor teacher introduced a mini-DTP (Design Thinking Process) that I created. I was so excited. She used my notes below to introduce the idea to the students. Next week, they will work further on it. I can not wait to see how they turn out. The class seemed pretty enthusiastic about the mini-DTP and they knew all the terms. I am so excited to see how this plays out...


European Reformation
a.     Key Ideas
1.     Religious, Political, intellectual, cultural upheaval
2.     Power of the press/media
3.     Martin Luther=only faith
4.     Legacy=religious and political freedoms, rebellions, wars, intellectual and cultural ideas flourished
b.     MiniDTP -can be completed in pairs or groups of 4
1.     Choose 1 of the reformists that you learned about.
2.     Empathize with the reformist and their beliefs
3.     Define for yourself lessons learned from this reformist
4.     Ideate: Use a form of media or social media to “reform” an issue facing India or your community today.
5.     Prototype: Develop 3 publications about your reform.
6.     Make sure that is clear that you understand the European Reformation
