Botanical Gardens Bangalore

As I have mentioned before, we usually go explore Bangalore on one of the weekend days and the other day we let the kids play all day at home. Now, the kids have made really good friends and they do not want to explore with us anymore and it is like pulling teeth to get them ready and to get out of the house. But then, once we are out of the house, something changes for the boys and they are excited about the adventure that awaits them. We are all chatting in the car and the energy is great.

Onion Samosa--so tasty--we all had one
They now love 7up

I think that we figured it out. We leave around 9:30am to beat the heat, get to our destination and explore for a little bit and then of course have a snack. We take our time and don't rush anything. The kids have fun using their imagination and creating stories about what they are seeing. We also do not take too long. The Botanical Gardens in Bangalore are huge but we knew we had about 1 and half to 2 hours with them before things would fall apart.

We have visited several Botanical Gardens here in India and in the U.S. and I have to say they are quite peaceful. I love exploring the ways a horticulturalists thought about the space before them. I kind of go into my own world. And it seems to me that the whole family does whether it is spoken or unspoken. For James, he took us through the "Croatia" section of the gardens since he loves everything about Croatia, especially soccer. And Ashram loves everything that is Japanese because of Karate. John and I were entertained by their thought process and navigation and we went along with and engaged with their stories. It was fun and nice to leave our house which we all have grown attached to.

After being out in the hot sun we headed to a street called Church street that is a street filled with eateries, hotels, and shops. We got lunch and headed home. It was a Sunday Funday!
