Ashram and Play

Ashram loves to play and use his imagination. He is pretty content playing by himself but he LOVES playing with someone else. If he had it his way, he would just play and play and play. And of course eat but he likes to play and eat. When I ask him what he likes to do at school he says play. Here in India, he has found a play partner that loves playing with him and the same kind of play. Larissa's family is from Brazil. Larissa lives 2 houses down from us and she goes to the same school as Ashram and James and Larissa is in the same class as Ash.

On a side note, I am friends with her mom--we went running today together. She only speaks Portuguese and understands Spanish more than English so when I do not have my phone to use google translate, I speak in Spanish. It works. It is fun. And we both enjoy seeing our kids enjoy each other and play so nicely.

Back to Ashram. It is so nice to watch Ashram play with someone else so nicely and so deeply. They are really engrossed in their games. This weekend Larissa came over to our house and they played for 2 1/2 hours straight. No fighting just playing and laughing. What I don't know is if Ashram can play like this with anyone who is willing to engage in this kind of play or has he really met some that shares his interests equally?

Regardless, Ashram is REALLY happy here and it has all to do with his friend Larissa.

Ash took this picture of Larissa
Them eating and playing. They had to bring there dolls to eat with them.
