So long, farewell, au revoir...

Indus International School! Today was the kids last day of school. For their last day of school they had a student led conference. James and Ashram led us through their journey of what they have learned for the last six months. I will have to say, John and I were impressed with the level of creativity the teachers put into teaching the kids and teaching the whole child. I love the mindfulness component of the teaching. Being mindful at such a young age really helps them to be present and focus on the activities in school. I really loved going to each station with each of them and imagining how they were learning in school everyday. James and Ashram were quite busy these last couple of months and we are really proud of them for jumping right in mid-way through a school year. Not once did they come home crying or complaining that they did not want to go to school or that they did not like it. Impressive.

Both of them led the conference with great pride in showing us all that they learned. Here are some highlights of Ashram's student-led conference:

Indus International is truly a wonderful school and I feel very fortunate that my kids got to experience such a wonderful place filled with lots of caring people and a tons of creative
active learning.

And of course the grand finale, we celebrated with some Indus friends and took the bus for some pizza and ice-cream!
